Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Director of Supplier Partnerships will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our centralized Supplier Partnerships department. The Director of Supplier Partnerships will lead and develop the team with a strong focus on continuous improvement and value creation for Envita Solutions. This person will be an integral partner to Operations and Commercial leadership as they streamline and scale supplier excellence and purchasing processes strategically and efficiently as Envita continues to grow.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Provide leadership and development to the Supplier Partnerships Team, which includes but is not limited to, Procurement, Commodities Management, and Supplier Integration.
- Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
- Negotiate strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with our suppliers. Lead and participate in supplier negotiations to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
- Provide support to Operations through the oversight of service issue escalation
- Establish and oversee centralized procurement/RFP process.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Equipment Deployment Teams to ensure effective supplier participation related to revenue growth.
- Establish and maintain Supplier Excellence Program.
- Oversee and report on campaigns to ensure proper supplier partner utilization.
- Develop tools to target and track margin/working capital improvement through supplier negotiations
- Ensure a strong financial position to improve profitability and growth through sound management of cost drivers, continuous improvement, cost controls, and supplier relationship management.
- Interact regularly with Executive Team and individual department heads to ensure that company's operational priorities align with total company direction.
- Continually identify and implement process improvements for the Supplier Partnerships team and overall Supplier Partnerships processes in the company.
- Centralize and manage all indirect Supplier Partnerships spend across the organization to drive efficiency and lower costs.
- Communicate supplier cost increases proactively to the Sales & Operations organization to ensure costs are well understood, fully mitigated, and passed on to the customer wherever possible.
- Collaborate with IT Department to focus on automation and reduced administrative burden associated with supplier invoicing and procurement processes.
- Attend industry conferences to build and maintain supplier partnerships.
- Some travel required. Up to 20%

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Management, Business, or related discipline preferred.
Experience: Minimum 8 years' Sourcing/Purchasing/Supplier Partnerships management required. Proven purchasing/Supplier Partnerships experience in waste management industries preferred. Minimum 4+ years' experience in management role required.
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a highly visible role where showing up and leading by example is absolutely necessary to drive change and better business outcomes. Demonstrated analytical skills and techniques, visible display of intellectual curiosity, and proven record of making a positive difference in the outcome of projects. Keen ability and affinity for influencing, building trust and credibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders. Strong business acumen and an understanding of value to assist in analyzing business information to provide insights. Polished and effective communication skills, keenly skilled in questioning, challenging, and inquiring with tact and diplomacy. Successful track record in project management, leading cross-functional project teams, communicating the purpose, objectives, timeline, deliverables, results, etc. Ability to thrive in a hands on, opportunistic, problem-solving culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to document and effectively translate Supplier Partnerships impacts and opportunities to operations and commercial colleagues. Analytical thinking abilities to develop a strong purchasing strategy. Ability to understand and apply risk management concepts to supply chain management. Command a thorough knowledge of RFP processes. Strong negotiating skills. Technical capacity. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
