Innovation Program Manager

Primary Purpose

The Innovation Program Manager will assist with the identification and development of growth and innovation opportunities within current business units. Support the Senior Strategic Manager – Growth & Innovation on the implementation of corporate strategies, research and development of new technologies/processes and assist operations staff on application in the field.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Utilizes internal databases to collect and analyze byproduct data to identify new opportunities within current customer base
  • Maintains innovation campaigns tracking via Salesforce
  • Support new business RFP opportunities by soliciting pricing and completing bid documents
  • Research and catalogs capabilities on potential treatment technologies and service providers
  • Collects customer ESG/Sustainability goals and initiatives for targeting potential growth areas and service providers/technologies.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and emerging markets through publications/news resources/and other networking.
  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPI's), baselines and targets to drive improvement to innovation campaigns
  • Prepares reporting on inbound and in-process innovation ideas and activities for Leadership team
  • Assists with the development of internal tools to facilitate collection of information from operations teams
  • Works with marketing and operations teams to create case studies and presentations
  • Supports cross-functional projects focused on high-priority areas and long-term growth
  • Partners with other functional experts to support common goals and agendas.
  • Attend industry conferences and meetings with potential new service providers
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required, 10% travel expected.

Education: High school Diploma or its equivalent required. Four Year Degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in environmental field including waste & recycling, sustainability, energy, and water reduction required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to digest new ideas/concepts quickly and work with limited supervision. Must be able to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Must have strong analytical and statistical skills, including experience making sense of large amounts of data. Interest in sustainability and eliminating waste. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
